ABOUT

MADAKYA (they/them) is a Berlin-based artist born in Germany. Their creative practice spans photography, video,  writing, and sound. Their photographs and recordings are an intimate archive that values queer existence and relationships. While grounded in personal and emotional narratives, their work extends beyond autobiography through collaborative processes, embracing experimentation and genre-fluid approaches to image-making.

Their  musical practice moves through hypnotic, emotionally charged soundscapes—delving into themes of introspection, resistance, and transformation. In their mixes they are interested to create immersive spaces shaped by the subconscious, memory, and dream states. As a vocalist and writer in collaborative projects, their voice becomes a vessel—carrying emotional weight, storytelling, and texture into shared sonic worlds.
