MADAKYA (they/them) is an artist and photographer based in Berlin, Germany. Their practice spans analogue photography, moving image, and sound. Through intimate portraiture and autobiographical and documentary approaches, they photograph people, personal relationships and the queer and creative communities they are part of. Their work moves between capturing lived experience and collaboratively constructed visual worlds.

In their music Mada's voice plays a central role alongside songwriting and sound experimentation.
They are the co-founder and curator of SYNESTRANSIA, an event series exploring the relationship between colour and sound.
